Warner Bros releases new trailer for 'The Dark Knight Rises'
'The Dark Knight Rises' is set to hit the cinemas in the U.S. July 20, 2012.
A new trailer was released for the 2012 blockbuster "The Dark Knight Rises," revealing Tom Hardy as the main villain "Bane" for the first time."Bane," played by "Inception" star Tom Hardy, is the main villain in Christopher Nolan's upcoming end to the Batman trilogy. The hulking villain is famous in comic book circles for breaking Batman's back in a vicious fight.
The trilogy-ender’s plot takes places nine years after the events of the series’ second installment, “The Dark Knight,” where Batman battled his insane arch-nemesis “The Joker,” played by actor Heath Ledger, who had died before the movie premiered.
Heath Ledger was awarded the Oscar for “Best supporting actor” that year.
Christian Bale returns to “The Dark Knight Rises” as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film features Tom Hardy as Bane and Anne Hathaway as Catwoman, as well as Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple with returning actors Gary Oldman, Cillian Murphy, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.
