Turkey qualifies for Eurovision finals

Can Bonomo. AA PhotoTurkey earned a ticket to advance to the final stage of the Eurovision Song Contest last night as Can Bonomo's performance qualified the country to compete against 25 other countries in the competition’s final phase, daily Hürriyet reported.
Ten finalists were voted through to the finals during last night’s second semi-finals. When Bonomo's name was not called within the first nine finalsts announced Turkish and Azerbaijani supporters filled the Crystal Hall in Baku with chants and slogans in support of Turkey’s entry.
The other finalists pulled from the second semi-finals were Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Ukraine, Sweden, Macedonia, Norway, Estonia and Malta.
The Eurovision final will take place May 26 with a total of 26 teams competing for the winning title. Bonomo is scheduled to be the 18th performer of the night.
