Former police intel chief Uzun arrested
Sabri Uzun, a former chief of Turkey’s National Police Intelligence, has been arrested on charges of “insulting the president,” “making propaganda for a terrorist organization” and “aiding a terrorist organization.”
Uzun was arrested as part of an investigation launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. He was initially detained on April 23 and was referred to a court on April 26 with a demand for his arrest.
