Coup panel’s questions sent to prime minister

ANKARA - Hürriyet Daily News
Questions by members of Parliament’s Coups and Military Memorandums Inquiry Commission have been presented to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the commission’s spokesman İdris Şahin said Nov. 20.
Şahin said a total of 35 questions were addressed to Erdoğan, noting that some of the questions might be repetitive. Questions focused on the “post-modern coup” of Feb. 28, 1997, the 2007 “e-memorandum” and the much-speculated-about Dolmabahçe meeting of 2007.

“The requirement of being an open society is being fulfilled. In comparison to the past, this era has been an era in which facing history has taken place in a short amount of time. Mr. Prime Minister’s answers to the commission’s questions will make a very important contribution to the commission,” Şahin said.
