BTA to sell Şekerbank shares

Local lender Şekerbank, Kazakhstan’s third largest bank BTA Bank, BTA Securities and Samruk Kazyna have applied to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) for BTA Securities to transfer its 34 percent share in Şekerbank to BTA’s largest shareholder and the country’s asset fund Samruk Kazyna.In its presentation, BTA Securities said it expected to complete the $166 million share transfer in a short amount of time, according to
