Turkish ministry rejects jet oil transfer to Israel
Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazıcı. AA PhotoThe Customs and Trade Ministry has rejected claims that Turkey has provided jet fuel to Israel after a media report alleged that a tanker carried oil from İskenderun and Mersin ports.
The report by daily Aydınlık claimed “Mariner A,” a Malta registered ship, has carried oil to Israel’s Haifa port seven times since June 3.
The ministry issued a statement and said the report did not reflect the truth, adding the ship carried diesel-type equipment to Mersin port from March 11 to June 25 and returned to Haifa without any goods.
