Turkish company to produce mangos

ISTANBUL - Hürriyet Daily News
One of Turkey’s leading conglomerates, Anadolu Group, is set to produce mangos in India and Pakistan with its Brazilian partner, Cutrale Group, in a bid to boost its agriculture production as its investments start to bear fruits.

Active in four key sectors, namely the beverage, automotive, finance and retail equipment sectors, Anadolu Group has expanded its business activities in recent years through investments made in the agriculture sector, which have received a further boost following the establishment of the joint venture with Cutrale Group.

The Brazilian group, which produces 35 percent of the world’s orange juice, has a strategic partnership with Coca-Cola for its related business activities, which paved the way for its collaboration with Anadolu.
“Muhtar Kent, Coca-Cola CEO, introduced us to the Brazilian owner of the family,” Özilhan said in an interview with daily Milliyet, adding that it was a great opportunity for the company and for Turkey.
The company currently owns 20 million square meters of land where it cultivates peaches, apricots, pomegranates and cherries.

The venture will produce peaches for Coca-Cola, the top juice ingredient in the world, and aims to accelerate its investments and expand the variety of its products to widen the framework of the cooperation with the company.
