Three children wounded as bomb explodes in southeastern Turkey

Three children, aged 14, 12 and 8, were critically wounded when a homemade bomb they discovered in a dumpster exploded in their hands in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır, according to Gov. Mustafa Toprak.

The children found the bomb in a dumpster and were playing with it when the bomb exploded in their hands. Doğan news agency identified two of the children as brothers Sezgin and Yakup. Sezgin, 14, lost his right hand in the explosion, with both brothers critically injured. Police forces searched the scene and dumpster following the explosion. Three more homemade bombs and a Molotov cocktail were found inside the container.
