Tax deal with Kosovo
PRISTINA - Anatolia News AgencyTurkey and Kosovo have signed an agreement that is set to hinder tax evasion while preventing the double taxation of income.
Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek and Kosovar Finance Minister Bedri Hamza inked the agreement yesterday in Pristina.
Şimşek said they were very pleased to sign the agreement on the important day of Sept. 10, the day Kosovo was set to free itself of international supervision.
The International Steering Group, comprised of 25 countries, including the UK and the US, has been supervising Kosovo’s independence since 2008. The deal will become valid after it is ratified by the parliaments of both countries.
