Police fire pepper spray on anti-war protesters

DHA PhotoA group holding an anti-war protest attempted to march in front of Parliament in Ankara yesterday, where legislators are debating a bill that would authorize the military to continue conducting cross-border raids.
Police used pepper gas against the group as tension between security forces and protesters increased.
Another anti-war protest was held in Istanbul’s Taksim Square. The demonstration was still in progress when the Hürriyet Daily News went to print.
