New York City mayor takes on digital coding

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg just announced he will learn how to code.

Bloomberg declared on the microblogging website Twitter that he was to join Codecademy, a New York-based coding website that had recently named 2012 as the "Code Year."

The 69-year-old mayor of New York City may be the first politician to take social media interest a step further by advancing into the digital coding system.
