Horse stable in northwest Turkey searched with drones in narcotics operation

Police in the Kartepe district of the northwestern province of İzmit on Feb. 2 carried out a narcotics raid on a horse stable with the participation of 250 officers. The operation came at dawn and targeted the barns of horses and the rooms of stable boys. The raid was carried out by narcotics, smuggling and organized crime teams, as well as anti-terror, public safety and riot police.
Drones were used in the raid, during which entrances and exits to the site were all blocked. Seven suspects were detained after an hour-long search, though police gave no details regarding the narcotics found in the operation.
