Deputy head of Turkish Religious Authority discharged from duty

ISTANBUL

The deputy head of Turkish Religious Affairs Directorate (Diyanet) was discharged from his duty on May 21, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Mehmet Emin Özafşar, deputy head of Religious Affairs Directorate was also lecturer at Faculty of Theology under Ankara University.

Discharging decision of Özafşar was issued in the Official Gazette on May 20 as no reason about discharging decision was stated.
