Coca-Cola CEO to head Turkish-American business council

The Turkish-American Business Council will be headed by Coca-Cola CEO Muhtar Kent upon its establishment, the chairman of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB), Rifat Hisarciklioglu, said Oct.24.

The Turkish-American Business Council is to be established within the body of the American Chamber of Commerce, Hisarciklioglu announced, while attending “U.S.-Turkey Investment Week” in Seattle, United States.

The Council will aim to develop business cooperation between the two countries.

Muhtar Kent serves as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of The Coca-Cola Company, a position he has held since April 2009. He was previously the company’s president.
