All-ladies classical orchestra on stage

Turkey’s first all-ladies orchestra FeminIstanbul is taking the stage tonight at Istanbul Kültür University’s Akıngüç auditorium. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available at Biletix booths.The core of the orchestra is a quartet, but the number of string instruments can be as many as 20. The group can present a 40-people symphonic orchestra when the brass and the percussion are included. The orchestra will be playing works of female composers to honor the upcoming International Women’s Day.
