Two soldiers killed in clashes with PKK in Turkey's southeast

Two soldiers were killed on Jan. 29 during clashes with militants of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Turkey's southeastern provinces, the Turkish General Staff has announced.One soldier was killed on Jan. 29 during clashes with PKK militants in the Cizre district of the southeastern province of Şırnak. The soldier was wounded in a PKK attack and later succumbed to his injuries in hospital, the statement said.
Meanwhile, another soldier was killed in the Sur district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakır on Jan. 29 during anti-PKK operations, according to a separate statement.
