Turkey hits ISIL targets in northern Syria
ANKARA
Turkey hit a number of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets in northern Syria with howitzers early on June 13.A vehicle with Katyusha rockets which was planning to attack Turkey was destroyed, while two buildings and two weapon-launching positions were also hit, according to security sources.
Meanwhile, warplanes belonging to the U.S.-led coalition against ISIL also conducted airstrikes in Syria’s Tughali region.
Five militants were killed as a result of the airstrikes and howitzer firings, according to initial reports.
