Reshuffle takes place in social security institution

Undersecretary Acar is assigned to the Prime Ministry as an adviser.

A reshuffle has taken place in Turkey’s Social Security Institution (SGK) in the aftermath of the March 30 local elections.

Labor and Social Security Ministry undersecretary Fatih Acar was assigned to the Prime Ministry as an adviser, which is a more passive post, according to a regulation signed by the President Abdullah Gül. The new nominations have been released in the Official Gazette.

Two other high-ranking officials in the SGK were also removed from their posts with the new regulation.

SGK deputy president Mehmet Ali Sağlam was also assigned to the Prime Ministry as an adviser. SGK deputy head Ali Pekten was also assigned to the Prime Ministry as an adviser. SGK Ankara Provincial head Ramazan Yıldız was removed from his job two months ago. Before the reshuffle in the SGK, there have been reshuffles in two other significant institutions, the BDDK and the Finance Ministry’s Income Department.
