Navratilova, 57, popped the question during a break in the Tennis Channel broadcast of men's singles semi-final day.
"I was very nervous, but it came off, and she said yes, and I was flying high," Navratilova told www.wta.com.
"It was like an out of body experience because you see people propose at sporting events before. You watch it in movies and in real life, and here it was happening to me. It was pretty cool." Navratilova won 18 Grand Slam singles titles in her career and 167 tour crowns in total.
