Critics of Turkish PM’s behavior toward children lack human feeling, AKP deputy chair says
DHA PhotoRuling Justice and Development Party Deputy Chair Öznur Çalık has slammed those who criticized Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu’s behavior toward children during a welcome ceremony for Turkish hostages at Ankara’s airport in September.
“First they have to be human in order to understand our prime minister’s love for children … for humanity,” Anadolu Agency quoted Çalık as saying on Oct. 6.
“Those who criticized our prime minister’s affinity for that child should feel sorrow … so that they can feel [Davutoğlu’s] joy,” she added, referring to an incident in which Davutoğlu was seen lifting up a child, one of 49 hostages freed from jihadist captivity, by the head at the airport.
“This was [an expression of] real and good love,” Çalık said.
