A military operation in southern Turkey’s Amanos Mountains resulted in the death of 13 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Worker’s Party, daily Hürriyet reported today.

Military forces also captured six additional militants alive during clashes and seized explosives, Kalashnikovs, infantry rifles, rocket launchers and hand grenades.

Meanwhile, one militant surrendered in the southern province of Hatay and confessed he was sent from camps in Kandil to organize a bomb attack in the province’s Kırıkhan district. The militant reportedly surrendered after his friend with who he was going to launch the attack was killed in a previous military operation.
