VIDEO: Sexual harassers caught in action by Istanbul police during New Year festivities

ISTANBUL

Special police teams have stopped sexual harassers while in action during New Year festivities in Istanbul.

Dubbed the “Trust Teams,” the special police unit patrolled İstiklal Avenue near Taksim Square, which was one of the most popular destinations to celebrate the New Year late Dec. 31 and early Jan. 1.

Footage of one of the arrests was released in which plainclothes police officers intervened seconds after a group of young men started to verbally abuse a couple of women.

Two of the men were arrested, according to local media reports.
