Video footage of policeman handing gun to child raises eyebrows

ISTANBUL

A video that shows a policeman handing out a gun to a child has drawn furious reactions. A security camera belonging to a shop in Istanbul’s Taksim captured the footage late on March 12 after Gezi victim Berkin Elvan’s funeral was held.

In the footage, the boy is seen taking aim with the gun at a passerby while he walks with a group of policemen. As the passerby reacts, the police officer takes the gun back and the all disappear from the camera's view.
