Turkish ref Cüneyt Çakır to handle Real Madrid Champions League match

Turkish referee Cüneyt Çakir will officiate the upcoming Champions League group match between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund, daily Hürriyet reported today.

The match will be played at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the Spanish capital on Nov. 6.

Çakır has also been appointed to officiate at the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup 2012, which will take place between Dec. 6 and Dec. 16 in Yokohama and Toyota, Japan.
