Turkish Airlines (THY) shared a number of new cabin crew clothing design
alternatives in a press conference today, saying that the design process was
still ongoing. The first design's photos, which were previously revealed, had
raised eyebrows for allegedly being more "conservative."
There are a
number of different designs that contain both traditional and modern ideas, as
well as several color alternatives, a THY statement said, adding that the
designs in the published photo were only one of many.
Many alternatives
are being evaluated in an effort to decide on a clothing design that will meet
the expectations and trends of the global passenger profile, it
added.
The new outfits, which were created by famous Turkish designer
Dilek Hanif, were first published on Twitter and later spread on social media,
stirring controversy.
Turkish designer Dilek Hanif also told daily
Hürriyet that the design process had yet to be fully completed and was still
ongoing.
