Literature Fest begins

The fourth Istanbul Literature Festival, organized by the Turkish Writers’ Union (TYB), will begin today. The event will host open sessions, panels, concerts and film screenings at the Kızlarağası Madrasah in Sultanahmet until Dec. 29.The main theme of the festival is “Sufism,” according to a written statement made by TYB Istanbul Chairman Mahmut Bıyıklı. “We will talk about the relationship between literature and sufism,” he said in the statement. The festival will host more than 60 authors, academics and artists.
