Demirören will meet Platini in his first international official visit as the TFF boss.

Newly-elected Turkish Football Federation (TFF) chairman Yıldırım Demirören will make his first official international visit to meet with EFA President Michel Platini today, with the match-fixing case believed to be the main item on the agenda.

FIFA Vice Chair Şenes Erzik will also attend the meeting at the headquarters of European football’s governing body in Nyon, Switzerland.

Demirören, who was voted in as TFF chairman last week, took over the hot seat knowing that he will have to make decisions regarding the match-fixing case.

A total of eight Super League clubs, including top teams Fenerbahçe, Trabzonspor and Beşiktaş, have officials or players allegedly involved in manipulating games. If they are found guilty, relegation bans or point deductions may be in the cards, and bans on the teams European qualifications could be imposed as well.
