Countdown starts for Ankara contemporary art fair

The 5th Art Ankara International Contemporary Art Fair, bringing together Turkey’s and the world’s major galleries, artists, institutions and organizations, will be organized between March 14 and 17.

The fair is being held to explore the innovative side of contemporary art in Turkey, which has become a meeting point for collectors and art lovers. 

Last year the fair displayed sculptures, ceramics, original prints, photography, installations and conceptual art works on an area of 10,000 square meters. Galleries from 12 countries, including Turkey, joined the fair, showcasing more than 3,000 artworks by artists of 37 countries. The event was visited by 43,000 art lovers. 

This year Art Ankara will welcome more than 3,500 artworks from the galleries of 14 countries for four days. 

The main theme of this year’s fair will be “woman.” Various projects related to women will be realized during the fair, which will be open at ATO Congresium.
