Blast at police department garden in southern Turkey caused by gunpowder, six injured

Six people were injured when an explosion rocked the garden of a Police Department building in the southern province of Kahramanmaraş on June 6.The blast occurred due to a buildup of gunpowder during repair works at the shooting gallery located at the facility, Kahramanmaraş Gov. Şükrü Kocatepe said.
“There is no suspicion of terrorism. Our friends are doing the necessary inspections,” he said.
Kocatepe also added that one police captain, three police officers and two workers were injured, with one in serious condition. All injured officers were rushed to hospital by ambulances dispatched to the area right after the blast.
