Two British tourists, identified as Anthony Gissing and Martin Webb, have died after drowning in different beaches in southern province of Muğla’s Ölüdeniz district.

People on Belcekız beach called paramedics after noticing that Gissing was floating in the sea without moving. Gissing was taken to the shore and immediately dispatched to a nearby hospital. However, 55-year-old tourist could not be saved.

On Ölüdeniz’s Kumburnu beach, officers brought Webb to the shore after noticing him in the sea. Paramedics immediately arrived at the scene, but Webb also could not be saved.

The bodies of the tourists were sent to the Muğla Forensics Department after examination by a prosecutor.
