Russian tourist drowns in Turkish resort Alanya

A Russian tourist drowned in the sea off the Alanya district of the Mediterranean resort of Antalya on Aug. 27, Doğan News Agency has reported.

The 68-year-old tourist, identified as Nikolay Kudinov, reportedly went swimming off the coast in the Kızlarpınar neighborhood in the early hours of the morning but after swimming for a while locals observed him struggling in the sea.

People on the beach brought Kudinov back to the shore and health units also arrived at the scene, but he was already pronounced dead.

Kudinov’s body was later transferred to the Antalya Forensics Institute for an autopsy.
