Images show destruction of Istanbul forests with bridge, highway construction
ISTANBULSatellite images taken over the last three years have depicted the destruction of huge forested areas on both sides of Istanbul with the construction of the third Bosphorus bridge and its feeder roads.
The latest images show the size of the forested area destroyed by the construction.
The construction of Istanbul’s third bridge is continuing despite controversy after a ruling for a stay of execution due to a negative environmental impact assessment report (ÇED) was overturned.
