Gallery ArkeoPera to host Meliha Baş solo exhibition

ArkeoPera Art Gallery is preparing to host a solo reverse-glass painting exhibition by Mehlika Baş. The exhibition opens on April 17 and will continue through the month. Baş has said that even in her earliest paintings she created when she was a child, she was interested in lines, her environment and using a fine-point pen. She transferred this interest to working with paintings under glass – a technique that is not used frequently. Born in Istanbul in 1971, Baş graduated from Mimar Sinan University’s Cinema-TV Institute. In addition to her use of the reverse-glass technique, she paints with oils in a pure but colorful style.
