Azerbaijan Embassy cancels national day receptions due to Soma accident

ANKARA

Azerbaijan’s Embassy to Turkey has said it cancelled its National Day receptions to be held next week in Ankara, Istanbul and Kars due to the tragic Soma accident that claimed the lives of 301 workers.

The embassy said the fund allocated for the receptions will be donated to the families of the victims of the Soma accident.

Following the fatal mine accident Norway and Israel had also cancelled their National Day receptions.
