Turkish officer killed in clashes in country's southeast

Security forces clashed with PKK militants near Derecik village in the Şemdinli district of the southeastern Hakkari province.
A specialist sergeant was also wounded in the clashes.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
