Trump blames ‘radical Islamic terrorist’ for assassination of Karlov
PALM BEACHPresident-elect Donald Trump has described the Dec. 19 shooting of Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov in Ankara “a violation of all rules of civilized order” carried out by a “radical Islamic terrorist.”
Trump also condemned the deadly terror attack at a Christmas market in the German capital Berlin, vowing to “eradicate Islamic terrorism’s regional and global networks.”
Authorities in both Turkey and Germany were still investigating the incidents on Dec. 20 when Trump issued the statements.
Trump blamed the Islamic State group and other “Islamist terrorists” for the deaths of at least 12 people in Berlin and said their networks “must be eradicated from the face of the earth.”
