Syrians swimming to Greek island from Turkey caught

Five Syrians who were trying to reach a Greek island from Turkish shores while swimming with life buoys have been captured by coast guards.

The fugitive Syrians were caught by security forces while swimming to Greece’s Meis Island from the Kaş district of southern province of Antalya.

Some witnesses who realized the group of five swimming to Meis, which is 7.5 kilometers away from the Çukurbağ peninsula of Kaş, reported the incident to the gendarmerie.

The captured fugitives were released after they were sent to court
