The video went viral on social media in a short time, with many users commenting about his adroit meat-slicing skills.

Gökçe also applied his coup de grace, his famous salt-drizzling move, at the end of the video.

Carpaccio is an Italian dish of raw meat or fish, thinly sliced or pounded thin and served mainly as an appetizer. It was invented in 1950 by Giuseppe Cipriani from Harry’s Bar in Venice and popularized during the second half of the 20th century.

Named after Venetian painter Vittore Carpaccio, the dish features beef served with lemon, olive oil and white truffle or Parmesan cheese. Later, the term was extended to dishes containing other raw meats or fish that are thinly sliced and served with lemon or vinegar, olive oil, salt and ground pepper.
