Pahud and Bronfman on Istanbul stage

Flutist Emmanuel Pahud and pianist Yefim Bronfman will be performing together tonight at İş Sanat Culture Center in Istanbul. The concert starts at 8 p.m. and tickets are available at Biletix booths.

The duo’s repertoire includes Schumann’s 3 Romances, Op. 94; Brahms’ Sonata in E flat major, Op.120, No.2; Mozart’s Sonata in E minor, No. 21, K.304; and Prokofiev’s Flute Sonata in D major, Op. 94.

Known for his bright talent and reputation, Pahud was selected as Instrumentalist of the Year at the prestigious Victoires de la Musique award ceremony in 1997. Pahud has performed with many distinguished orchestras as soloist and was also appointed the Principal Flute of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under Claudio Abbado at the age of 22. Pahud will be accompanied by Bronfman, who has been widely praised for his solo, chamber and orchestral recordings and was awarded a Grammy in 1997 for his recording of the three Bartok Piano Concertos. The concert of the duo at İş Sanat is part of a very special concert tour.
