One killed, two injured in fight against PKK

One soldier has been killed and two wounded by Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members in an ongoing military operation in the eastern province of Şırnak’s Beytüşşebap district.

The identity of the slain soldier was announced as Tanju Çolak. Chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Özel released a statement offering his family condolences.

The Turkish military launched a massive military operation in the Beytüşşebap province of Şırnak on Sept. 4, where terrorists had killed 10 troops in a recent attack. The operations are still continuing, according to reports.
