More shopping malls to pop up in Turkey

The number of shopping malls in Turkey will reach 347 in 2014, according to a report prepared by EVA Garimenkul Değerleme Danışmanlık and Akademetre Research & Planning on Turkey’s shopping mall potential between 2012-2014.

There are presently 265 shopping malls in Turkey. As of today, 40 new shopping malls will be opened in Turkey in 2012. In 2013, 29 shopping malls and in 2014, 13 new shopping malls will go into service in Turkey.

In 2011, an average of 108 million people visited shopping malls in Turkey per month. In the previous year, 83 million people visited shopping malls in per month. In 2012, an average of 122 million people are expected to visit shopping malls in Turkey per month.
