Female police officers wearing headscarves were on duty in Turkey for the first time during the Aug. 30 Victory Day celebrations, included one policewoman photographed in Istanbul’s Taksim.

Another headscarf-wearing officer was among the team guarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during the official Victory Day ceremony in Ankara.
