Bomb discovered near governors building in Istanbul

A package containing explosives was discovered by the Istanbul Governorship in Fatih earlier today, private broadcaster NTV has reported.

Police forces discovered the bomb next to the garden wall of the municipality building. The area was immediately surrounded and security measures were taken.

The bomb was defused by a bomb squad.
