Body Music Fest blends music, dance

The International Body Music Festival will be in Istanbul’s various venues.
The International Body Music Festival will be held in various Istanbul venues.The fifth International Body Music Festival, which opens today , brings “Music you can see, dance you can hear” to Istanbul with a line-up of international artists until Oct. 14.
The International Body Music Festival was founded by artistic director Keith Terry and is a project of Crosspulse, an Oakland-based nonprofit arts organization dedicated to the performance. The IBMF features contemporary and traditional body music presented in concerts, workshops, teacher trainings, lecture-demonstrations, body music open-mics and family matinees. The events are being held at the CRR Concert Hall, BKM, Nardis Jazz Club, French Cultural Institute, Italian Cultural Center, Arte Istanbul, Adahan Istanbul, Notre Dame de Sion Concert Hall, Çıplak Ayaklar Studio and Urban Lounge.
