Ane Brun to perform in Istanbul once again
ISTANBUL – Hürriyet Daily NewsNorwegian indie musician Ane Brun will be in Istanbul once again, a year after performing at Salon İKSV.
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), the concert will be held on Dec. 12 at Küçükçiftlik Park.
Songwriter, singer and guitarist Brun celebrated her 10th year in music by releasing a retrospective album last year. As part of the album tour, she performed in Istanbul in November 2013 with three memorable performances. Highly acclaimed for her different styles on the stage – a place of meditation for her – Brun had all her performances sold out days before the concerts.
She will be in Istanbul with brand-new songs as well as covers of “Ain’t No Cure For Love” (Leonard Cohen), “From Me To You” (The Beatles), “It’s Alright (Baby’s Coming Back)” (Eurythmics) from her latest album, “Rarities” (2014). As the opening act of the concert, Swedish singer and songwriter Alice Boman will perform on the Küçükçiftlik Park stage with her smooth and relaxing voice.
Ticket prices are 50, 60, 75, and 90 Turkish Liras.
