The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) continues to carry out a variety of duties to maintain security and stability across Turkey, the region and the world, while getting stronger with the removal of “traitors” from within its ranks, Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar has said in his written statement for the Eid al-Adha holiday.

The TSK had one chain of command conducting its assignments, said Akar. “Apart from that, no institutions, person or entity could have influence on our organization and activities,” he stated.

Discipline was the most well-known qualification of the TSK and “absolute obedience is the core and soul of that discipline,” Akar said, noting they would not make concessions from this understanding.

The TSK would continue to conduct operations within Turkey against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) across the border in Syria until both were cleared of “all the terrorists,” he stated.
