Gabon to open embassy in Ankara in 2015
AA PhotoGabonese President Ali Bongo Ondimba has said his country will open an embassy in the Turkish capital this year, in a move to further improve bilateral relations with Turkey.
“We are aware of the significance of your support to the African people and nations and we are grateful for this. We see how important the support and friendship coming from foreign countries, particularly from Turkey, is, especially in these difficult days,” Ondimba said in his address at a meeting with acting Parliament Speaker Sadık Yakut May 12.
Ondimba is in Turkey for an official visit upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The two presidents held meetings late afternoon before a joint press conference.
