Twitter complaint starts probe

ORDU - Doğan News Agency
Eight public servants working at a local administrator’s office are under investigation for not responding to any calls during the working time, after a follower of Ordu governor complained via Twitter.

A follower of Ordu governor, Orhan Düzgün, wrote on Twitter: “I guess Ulubey district’s fiscal directorate is on vacation. Their phones and faxes cannot be reached.” Gov. Düzgün called the fiscal directorate himself after reading the complaint and was also unable to get a response. The governor wrote to the Ulubey local administrator on the issue. The security camera footage and the entrance cards of the public servants were examined and it was determined that the eight public servants were in the building at the time of the phone calls. An investigation has begun into the eight public servants for not responding to phone calls.

After it emerged that the investigation had started from a complaint on Twitter, many users began to report their problems.
