Turkey’s Air Force bombed crossborder locations in Iraq last night following attacks by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), daily Milliyet has reported.

Nearly six Turkish F-16 planes bombed camps in Zap and Metina in Northern Iraq for about four hours last night.

The operation began around 8:30 p.m. and ended after midnight.

PKK members attacked five different locations with long barrel arms and rocket launchers earlier today in the southeastern province of Şırnak, including a police department and military apartments.

One policeman was killed and two were wounded.
