Turkish football team to assist Congo Republic in launching league

The Turkish football team Gençlerbirliği will assist the Democratic Republic of the Congo to start a professional league in the country, Anatolia news agency reported.
Democratic Republic of the Congo Ambassador Marcel Mulumba Tshidimba met with Gençlerbirliği officials, including trainer Fuat Çapa, to consult on the matter.
İlhan Cavcav, the chairman of Gençlerbirliği, said he was pleased with such exchange of views and the team was consulted in the "designing of African football."
There are also plans to open a football school in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Anatolia news agency reported.
